CD4-Eomes immune cells: Senescent cell assassins

Immune cells visualization

Researchers identified CD4-Eomes cells that respond to biological aging signals and target senescent cells, strengthening the case for immunosurveillance as a lever to slow age-associated tissue damage and inflammation.

By clarifying how these cells link to senescence at a molecular level, the work opens avenues for therapies that enhance natural clearance of aging cells without broad immunosuppression.
